Interaction on China's book expo 2010 held in Ne
An interaction program on China ' s Book Expo 2010, was held in Nepali capital Kathmandu Thursday amid intellectual group highlighting the role of books awaring mass public. An interaction program jointly organized by Nepali book store named China's Tibet Book Store and People's Review, a political and business weekly spolighted the knowledge acquired by Nepalis about China and China's Tibet. The interaction program held in the context of 2nd Serfs Emancipation Day in Tibet some 50 years back not just discussed about knowledge offered at China's Book Expo 2010, the first Chinese book exhibition in Nepal but also talked about friendly cultural relationship between two countries Nepal and China. Addressing the program, Pushpa Raj Pradhan, editor-in-chief of People's Review weekly said, "Although publications from other countries are easily available in Nepal, it was difficult to get Chinese publications even in capital Kathmandu. "China is our neighboring country having common borders and Nepali people are very keen to know about China," he added indicating book exhibition as one of the key tools that can share knowledge about China to Nepalese people. In fact, Nepali people are aware of development of China's Tibet.The 51-year after the democratic reform in Tibet is a period that Tibetan people could stand up with their heads high, build a happy new life and write a chapter of prosperity and progress. Opening of the China's Tibet Book Store in Nepal has fulfilled the interest of the Nepali people to know about China and China's Tibet, said Pradhan. Speakers at the program stressed that with the help of book expo, Nepali people will get to know fair information about China and its development so far. The book store China's Tibet Book Store was established in Nepal's one of the major tourism hubs Thamel three months ago and with the very short pace of time it has launched a largest book expo on Tuesday. The three-day book expo has concluded on Thursday receiving huge numbers of local Nepalese as well as foreign visitors in its store, according to organizers. |
